GAMESA HOLDS OPEN HOUSE ON SANDY RIDGE
Event Includes 90-minute Q&A with Residents
Gamesa sponsored an open house and information session Wednesday, Dec. 5 for residents interested in learning more about the company's proposed Sandy Ridge wind farm in Blair and Centre counties. This is the second forum Gamesa sponsored on the project. A town meeting where residents could ask questions was held May 25.
About 80 people attended stages of the event throughout the course of the evening. The first hour featured an open house where residents could talk one on one with Gamesa officials and view displays that showed and described the project in full. Gamesa officials also convened a 90-minute question-and-answer session with about 50 residents, explaining in detail the project footprint, environmental protections and variety of studies and permit requirements that go into planning and developing a wind farm in Pennsylvania.
